We are now selling The Open Book Build Kit to anyone who needs quality pro builder resources to help them build a new home...any new home.  Yes, The Kit is tailored to the Open Book Build House Plan, but that doesn't mean it won't help you with for your new custom home.  The budget has all of the line items needed to build a home, so nothing will be forgotten.  And because the budget is in Excel format, the numbers can easily be changed to fit your particular house plan costs.  The Contracting Kit portion of the Open Book Build Kit has fillable form sections where your own particular product details can be typed into the Scopes of Work and Specifications and Bid Sheets.  The Schedule is great for any home, to help keep construction on track.  And by reviewing our Material Quantity Takeoffs, you will know what estimating needs to be done for your new home project.  If you like some of the products we used in the Open Book Build prototype home, the Product and Color Selection resource will give you all the details.  And the Sample Contract is a great starting point for creating an agreement to use with your subs and suppliers.

In the event any liability is imposed on Open Book Build LLC, Open Book Build LLC’s liability to purchaser or any third party shall not exceed the price paid for Open Book Build LLC’s product. 

The parties shall settle any controversy arising out of this Agreement by arbitration in Cuyahoga County, Ohio in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association. A single arbitrator shall be agreed upon by the parties or, if the parties cannot agree upon an arbitrator within twenty (20) days after the filing and service of the demand for arbitration, then the parties agree that a single arbitrator shall be appointed by the American Arbitration Association. The non-prevailing party shall pay all costs of arbitration and the attorneys’ fees of the prevailing party, and the parties shall request the arbitrator to include such provisions in the award. The award of the arbitrator shall be binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
